8 LCC Service Teams

Please read the following descriptions of our 8 Service Teams and allow the Lord to nudge you toward the one He wants you involved. We would like for every adult at LCC to be involved in at least one service team and we would love for you to choose a team that best matches your passion, your giftedness and your call (where you think the Lord is nudging you to get involved). Serving together will allow Team LCC to succeed with our mission of developing devoted followers of Jesus.

Leadership Team

This team of appointed, spiritually mature men will lead and oversee the affairs and direction of our congregation. This team will meet monthly to keep our church on mission, discuss spiritual direction and needs of our church family and spend time praying for the LORD’s will for our church. The “Leadership Team” of LCC are the elders and pastors of our church family and are responsible for directing the affairs of the church. (1 Timothy 5:17-20; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13; Hebrews 13:7, 17-19). We presently have four involved on this team and desire to have ten or more by the end of 2011. PLEASE PRAY DAILY FOR THE LEADERSHIP TEAM OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY.

Response Team

This team will assist, counsel and pray for those who respond to the invitation that we will offer during our Sunday morning worship service. These team members will be trained with basic counseling skills in order to personally connect with those responding to our invitation which will often include a call to help those who are hurting, a call to help those who are in need of special prayer, a call to help others connect to Christ or to our church family.

Missions Team

Our Mission efforts will be taking a new direction with our DEVOTION IN MOTION strategy. We want to develop a team of people who will implement and oversee the care of hurting and needy people. We are in hopes of forming several ministry groups that will make up our missions team. We will be developing a team who will care for and assist Chris and Emily Vickio to be successful missionaries to East Africa. We would like for LCC to be a full supporting “living link” for Chris and Emily.

We want to also develop teams of people who are leading the way in caring for those locally in need especially those dealing with the loss of a loved one, those hospitalized, and those needing physical labor around their home, etc. We will also continue to support the East Coast Evangelizing Fellowship and the DelMarVa Christian Service Camp. Have a heart for serving others? This team is for you.

Fellowship Team

This team will be involved in ministry that helps our church stay connected through a series of fellowship and social events. This team will lead the way in organizing and orchestrating various events designed to connect us to each other. Events such as Retreats, seminars, all-church events (tail gate parties), church picnics, etc., will help serve as great avenues of personal connections.

Youth Ministry Team

This team will give major attention to developing a plan that will help keep and commit our youths for the LORD. One of our commitments is to make a huge investments into the next generation and this team will lead the way in mapping out a plan for reaching our children for JESUS. This team will provide leadership for all of our youths from infants through high school.

Worship Arts Team

This team consists of three components – The Praise Team (Musicians, Singers, Soloists, Choir, Scripture Readers), Creative Arts Team (Graphic Arts, Drama, Photography, Video), and Technical Arts Team (Sound Techs, Light Techs, Projection Operators). The combined effort of the Worship Arts Team is to plan and implement worship services with continued excellence. First Impressions Team

This team of people will be giving special attention to our guests and first timers here at The CROSSING. It has been reported that our guests will determine in the first 7 minutes whether or not they will return. It is paramount that we have a great team in place ready to meet and serve our guests in a way that will influence them for the LORD. Areas of involvement might include: advertisement and LCC pr, church banners, pew shepherding, greeters, etc.

Finance and Facility Team

The Finance Team will be made up of appointed individuals who will be commissioned to keep an accountable eye on the finances of LCC. The Facilities Team will consist of those who will commit to keeping our campus in first class condition. This team will also be leading the way with our new facility that will result with the completion of our BUILDING TOMORROW campaign. This team will require landscapers, builders, planners, visionaries, dreamers, etc.
