Cord of Three questions for the week of  July 25-31, 2010

What insight, principle or observation from this past Sunday’s sermon did you find to be most helpful, challenging or troubling?

REVEALING ME:

What is the favorite aspect of you work?

What in your lifetime has been your most challenging work?

What job has been most rewarding for you?  Why?

Read COLOSSIANS 3:22 – 4:6 three or four times, pray over and then record your answers to the following:

HEARING GOD:

As followers of Jesus what is to be our work ethic?

What is to be our motivation for work?

What is to be our mission at work?

APPLYING LIFE:

From the text, what investments ought we to be making in our co-workers?

Who at work do you need to invest in this week?

Who at your place of work could you invite this week to our Sunday worship?

PRAY:  What life issues will you be facing this week that needs our prayer? How about planning a social/just-for-fun event with your Cord of Three?     Ideas?

[A Cord of Three is a small group meeting together once a week for an hour, usually as a yearly commitment. The meeting place, day and time are up to the individual group. The name is based on Ecclesiastes 4:12, "...a cord of three strands is not quickly broken." The three parts of the Cord of Three consists of a leader, a group, and the Lord. The group can be comprised of any combination of believers (couples, singles, males, females, etc). However, for effectiveness, it should be limited to more than 10 people.  A Cord of Three is not just an intimate bible study alone, but is a way to develop relationships and an opportunity to minister to others as well as be ministered to. Each week the study will based on the previous Sunday's sermon. The questions will be available at the end of each service as well as on the website.
